Job Summary

The Student Assistant will support Lakeside Cafe as a Student Dining Room Attendant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Spring 2026. The Student Dining Room Attendant plays a key role in ensuring a clean, welcoming, and organized dining environment for students, faculty, and staff. This position involves maintaining dining areas, assisting guests, and working as part of a team to provide a great dining experience.

Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12‑consecutive month period.

Responsibilities
  • Greets and assists guests in the dining area
  • Cleans and sanitizes tables, chairs, food stations, and counters regularly
  • Restocks utensils, napkins, and condiments as needed
  • Sweeps, mops, and maintains dining floors for cleanliness and safety
  • Empties trash and recycling bins as needed
  • Clears trays and organizes dish return areas
  • Works efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining a friendly attitude
  • Follows all university and health regulation safety and sanitation procedures
Shift Specifics
  • Up to 25 hours per week
  • Flexible with schedule of availability
  • Shifts available Monday‑Friday,
    • 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
    • 10:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Required Qualifications Educational Requirements

Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University

Proposed Salary

$10.00 per hour

This is a non‑exempt position paid on a biweekly basis
