Job Summary
The Student Assistant will support the Department of Mathematical Sciences as an Elementary Mathematics Content Developer on the Statesboro Campus beginning Spring 2026.
The Student Assistant will be creating, revising, and uploading videos and tasks related to Grades 2-4 Addition and Subtraction Mathematics Standards. This funding is from an Affordable Learning Georgia Grant, where we are creating resources for families to support their K/1 students' learning mathematics through discourse and manipulatives.
This position will run from Spring 2026 through Summer 2026.
Employment is contingent upon funding.
Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.
Responsibilities- Utilizes the braining camp website to create and revise tasks
- Develops a deep understanding of Georgia Mathematics Standards and the intended student learning outcomes
- Provides feedback on instructional videos and tasks based on alignment with Georgia Mathematics Standards
- Up to 5 hours per week
- Flexible with schedule of availability
- This position varies each week, but some weeks you will need to attend my class on Mondays from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Educational Requirements
- Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.
Proposed Salary
: $15.00 per hour
This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
