Job Description & How to Apply Below
You will follow up with prospective students using various methods to discuss their interests and questions about university opportunities to ensure they are the right fit for SCAD. Additionally, you will hold scheduled one-on-one appointments with them to provide information on the application process and portfolio counseling.
In this position, you will monitor regular application and enrollment reports to assess the effectiveness of initiatives and inform future planning. You will proactively communicate with applicants and admitted students on an established schedule, encourage them to visit the university, and manage active applicant files. Among other duties, you will prepare applications for admission committee review, manage a daily telephone appointment schedule using Appointment PLUS, and assist with on-campus activities (e.g., lead tours, staff programs, cover Live Person shifts, and participate in training).
You will also handle a large volume of daily calls and emails from prospective students to answer their questions.
In this role, you will serve as the primary financial aid contact for new students, ensuring they understand the federal aid process and assisting with financial planning. You will create and maintain an individual travel calendar in Outlook, providing access to the executive director and the assistant to the executive director. Responsibilities include accurate record management, Salesforce data and travel management entry in compliance with FERPA, and oversight of educator contact information.
Among other duties, you will take an active role in admission training, provide mentorship to new staff members, and regularly provide feedback to leadership.
As an assistant director, you will strive to increase positive awareness of SCAD in your assigned area through the development of strong professional relationships with teachers, counselors, and advisers. You will also invite educators to attend SCAD Educator Forum, where you will serve as a host. Among other duties, you will leverage alumni and parent ambassadors to support university recruitment efforts;
stay informed about university policies, events, awards, and programs to provide accurate information; and share relevant updates with staff. Similarly, you will build strong partnerships with admission advisers to involve them in recruitment activities.
The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent organizational and communication skills - both written and verbal.
