Job SummaryThe Student Assistant will support SOAR Orientation as a Southern Ambassador on the Armstrong Campus beginning Spring 2026. Southern Ambassadors serve as official student representatives of Georgia Southern University. They play a vital role in promoting the university by offering campus tours, assisting with recruitment events, and providing prospective students and their families with an authentic view of student life. Ambassadors exemplify the university’s values, spirit, and commitment to academic and community excellence.
Note: Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12‑consecutive month period.
Responsibilities- Lead engaging and informative campus tours for prospective students and visitors
- Represent the university at admissions events, open houses, and orientations
- Provide insight into student life, academics, and campus resources
- Assist with administrative and logistical support during events
- Uphold professionalism and school pride in all interactions
- Up to 38 hours per week
- Flexible with schedule of availability
- Daily Tour: 11 AM - 1 PM
- Private Tours:
Open Availability - Occasional Saturdays
- Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.
$12.00 per hour
This is a non‑exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
