Job SummaryThe Department of Curriculum, Foundations, and Reading is accepting applications for part‑time faculty positions on a semester‑by‑semester basis for the 2025‑2026 academic year. Positions are on an as‑needed, semester‑by‑semester basis and are paid monthly.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses for BSED programs or graduate courses for MAT, MEd, EdS, or EdD programs.
- Deliver instruction in face‑to‑face, hybrid, and online modalities.
- Assign teaching based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
- Engage with institutional student success initiatives.
- Participate in best‑practice initiatives in instruction, pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design.
- Master’s degree in Educational Psychology, Social Foundations of Education, Reading/Literacy Education, or a related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in one of the three fields.
- For courses 6000 level or above: earned Doctoral degree in Education or a related subfield with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Social Foundations of Education, Curriculum Studies, Educational Psychology, Educational Research, or Literacy Education.
- Ability and willingness to teach face‑to‑face undergraduate courses Monday through Thursday.
- Willingness to teach online courses.
- Engagement with best‑practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design.
- Teaching experience in higher education.
- Expertise in learning theory, motivation, assessment, human development, social foundations of education, or reading/literacy education.
