You will design and implement proactive intervention strategies and outreach initiatives to identify and support at-risk students before concerns escalate into crises. Responsibilities include the management and coordination of the crisis response schedule, including on-call manager assignments, to ensure timely and effective support. Among other duties, you will oversee student crises by coordinating hospital visits, contacting parents, working closely with university safety, and ensuring that the appropriate university administration is aware of situations.
In this role, you will review daily incident reports and log missing student cases to ensure all concerns are addressed with documented follow-up plans. You will serve as the primary liaison to university health services to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care for students and compile and analyze report information to provide the dean of students with insights into student wellbeing trends, crisis responses, and the effectiveness of response measures.
Responsibilities include maintenance and review of the university's crisis response manual and student support documentation, and participation in the adjudication of Title IX cases as a hearing or appeal officer. You will also serve on the on-call rotation for the Savannah location to respond to emergencies and provide guidance during crises.
In this position, you will serve as essential personnel in the university's emergency and disaster response plans, reporting for duty during university closures or evacuations. You will handle all inquiries and student matters with the highest level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality. You will advance prevention and outreach related to the health and wellbeing of the student population and implement elevated prevention and outreach programming.
Additionally, you will travel to other SCAD locations.
The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills as well as a high level of attention to detail. They have a record of high personal and professional integrity and discretion.
Minimum qualifications:
* Master's degree in case management, public health, higher education, or a related disciplines
* At least three years of professional experience in case management, public health, or student services with increasing responsibility
* Ability to travel to other SCAD locations
Preferred qualifications:
* Doctoral degree in counseling, social work, or psychology
* Minimum of 10 years of experience
* Experience in higher education leadership
Travel required:
* 10-20%
Work hours:
The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
