Responsibilities include direct supervision and training over assigned SCADamp coaches and collaborations with studio leadership and the Atlanta-based events lead to assist with the planning and execution of SCADamp-hosted events. This collaboration is to ensure the alignment of quality enhancement plan goals and expectations across both SCAD locations.
At the request of SCADamp leadership, you will support programming offered to external executive audiences, alumni coaching, and various events. Events include NET-WORK-SHOP and SCADamp certificate celebrations. You will manage accurate workshop, coaching, and event participation data. Additionally, you will serve as a primary point of contact for production of large-format, integrated workshops across the curriculum as requested by studio leadership.
You will also maintain a schedule of independent work while actively contributing to a highly collaborative team.
As a SCADamp events lead, you may also liaise with other departments requesting event support from the department. This includes assisting with the management of SCADamp Stars student scholarship recipients, as well as event rehearsal coaching. Overall, you will serve as an ambassador for SCADamp - and as a professional role model to faculty, staff, and students - through a positive, collaborative, solutions-oriented, and communicative approach.
The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to effectively present ideas and concepts. They possess organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills and pay meticulous attention to details. The candidate is commited to meeting expectations and deadlines. They have a proven ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple projects efficiently and to build and sustain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
The candidate is also dedicated to personal and professional integrity.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, mass communications, English, performing arts, or a related field
- Extensive project management experience and experience communicating effectively with diverse audiences in a university community
- Experience working in an innovative, fast-paced, and professional environment
- Able to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Significant presentation coaching, acting, or performance experience
- Proficiency with professional presentation; experience with Keynote and/or PowerPoint experience
- 10-20%
