Paraprofessional, Title I

Job  – Area 3 Elementary School, Chapel Hill Elementary School (2026‑2027 School Year).

Location:

Chapel Hill Elementary School.

Duration:
One‑year position funded through Title I, ending June 30, 2027. Candidates must apply for a new position and be recommended for a new role to continue employment in the 2026‑2027 school year.

Job Description:

• Supports teachers in meeting the educational, behavioral, and social‑emotional needs of students in the classroom and community.
• Provides small group and/or individualized instruction in accordance with lesson plans.
• Assists teachers with daily classroom management activities designed to promote an effective learning environment.
• Assists teachers with assessment of student performance (standardized and non‑standardized testing) and related record‑keeping tasks.
• Assists teachers with the development and organization of appropriate instructional materials and guarantees their availability prior to scheduled instructional segments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of sixty (60) semester hours or ninety (90) quarter hours of college coursework from a Professional Standards Commission‑approved accredited institution with a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
• Or, a high school diploma/GED combined with a passing score on the Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators (GACE) Paraprofessional Assessment.

• Must obtain a valid Professional Standards Commission‑approved paraprofessional certificate.
