OHFH Agency is currently seeking experienced, dependable, and student-focused Special Education Teachers to support upcoming school-based opportunities within Dougherty County for the 2026–2027 school year.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting students with disabilities in classroom settings and possess strong knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), classroom accommodations, behavior support strategies, and instructional collaboration.
This position requires professionals who are passionate about student development, capable of maintaining a structured learning environment, and committed to supporting educational success for students with varying learning needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide instructional services and classroom support for students receiving special education services
- Implement and support student IEP accommodations and modifications
- Develop, monitor, and maintain student progress documentation
- Collaborate with administrators, general education teachers, parents, paraprofessionals, and support staff
- Participate in IEP meetings and educational planning processes
- Maintain classroom structure, behavioral support, and positive student engagement
- Support academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development of students
- Ensure compliance with school policies, procedures, and educational standards
- Utilize effective classroom management and instructional strategies
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in accordance with educational guidelines
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Special Education, or related field preferred
- Experience working with students with disabilities required
- Knowledge of IEP implementation and classroom accommodations strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively within school-based teams
- Ability to pass required background screenings and compliance requirements
- Reliable transportation and ability to work on-site within Dougherty County
- Experience in K-12 educational settings
- Experience with classroom documentation and student progress reporting
