Job Summary
Part‑time faculty positions for the academic year 2026‑2027 at the College of Engineering Technology and Computing (CETC) at Savannah State University. Positions will be available for the fall and spring semesters, including day, evening, and weekend courses. Teaching areas include Freshman Year Experience, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Construction Management, Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Data Analytics, Mathematics, and Physics.
All hires must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required eligibility verification form upon hire. This position does not offer sponsorship for employment visas.
Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and communicate instruction to stimulate student learning.
- Employ effective teaching and learning strategies that promote student success.
- Prepare, distribute, and submit syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with college and university policies.
- Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.
- Submit immediate alerts in EAB when students are at risk.
- Submit mid‑term and final grade reports by university deadlines and complete course assessment forms at the end of each semester.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in regard to student interaction and information.
- Comply with all university academic policies.
- For Freshman Year
Experience:
a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline is required. - For all other subject areas: a Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline of instruction is required.
