Qualifications- Education Level: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (Preferred:
Advanced degree(s)) - Certification: Valid Georgia Professional Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education P‑5 or Birth to Kindergarten

- Clearly articulates deadlines, schedules, and procedures to students and parents to ensure that students complete coursework in a timely manner
- Follows professional practices consistent with school and district policies in working with students, students’ records, parents, and colleagues
- Interacts in a professional manner with students and parents
- Is available to students and parents for conferences according to district policies
- Facilitates home‑school communication by such means as holding conferences, telephoning, and sending written communications
- Maintains confidentiality of students and students’ records
- Works cooperatively with school administrators, special support personnel, colleagues, and parents
- Conducts assigned classes at times scheduled
- Enforces regulations concerning student conduct and discipline

Incumbents will receive an annual contract. The work calendar will be 190 days. Salary will be determined based on level of certification and allowable experience.
Physical and Sensory DemandsEmployees in this position spend most of the workday in a typical classroom or related educational environment. There will be prolonged periods of standing or walking, and may be frequent bending, stooping, or stretching. Lifting or pulling of equipment or supplies may occur. Reading, listening, writing, and speaking are required. Occasionally there may be lifting or restraint of a student.
