Coadjutants-VMPA (Non-Teaching Positions)

The Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Visual, Media, and Performing Arts at Rutgers University-Camden is seeking co‑adjutants (non‑teaching) to perform a variety of roles within Animation, Graphic Design, Painting, Photography, Sculpture/Intermedia:
Art & Technology, Art History, Museum Studies, Music, Theater, Filmmaking, and Dance during the Fall 2025 and/or Spring 2026 semester.

A minimum of $225 for the contract period.

The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. Market benchmarks and internal equity are also considered to ensure fair compensation relative to the university’s broader compensation structure.

Responsibilities may include:

• Co‑adjutant (non‑teaching) duties such as accompanist, music director, or stage, costume, sound, lighting designer.
• Non‑credit instruction to support the Rutgers Pre‑College Arts Program for high‑school students. Duties include assisting with instruction, coordinating related course requirements, and supporting course delivery as needed (note: hiring for Pre‑College positions is contingent upon sufficient student enrollment).

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree.

Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against seasonal influenza for the current Flu Season unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
