Special Education Inclusion Teacher
Reports to:
Special Education Manager
Position Type: 10-month
Start Date:
26–27 School Year
Compensation:
Starting at $64,000 annually, eligible for Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) up to $32,000 additional, potentially totaling $102,800 with TIA.
- Write accurate, aligned, data‑driven IEPs for students on your caseload.
- Develop rigorous lessons in your content area in 1:1 blended learning environments to engage students and bridge gaps.
- Set ambitious goals with students and monitor progress, providing frequent feedback.
- Track student growth, using data and coach feedback to create growth plans when needed.
- Build relationships with students and families through consistent communication.
- Create classroom environments conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with a co‑planner on daily lesson plans and resource integration.
- Meet deadlines for lesson plans, grades, and work samples.
- Work with a team of teachers and leaders for consistency, support, and accountability.
- Collaborate with content teams in Professional Development.
- Conduct weekly tutorials for additional instruction.
- Perform supervision duties on campus to support student safety.
- Complete compliance tasks such as writing IEPs, updating logs, and progress reports.
- Continuously grow professionally by receiving and giving feedback.
- Persist in challenges, learn from mistakes, and model character.
- Be available via phone, email, or video conferencing for collaboration.
- Provide dyslexia instruction for qualifying students as needed.
- Provide personal care services as needed.
- Handle additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university recognized by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB).
- Texas Educator Certification in Special Education, or willingness to join ACP to obtain certification in first year.
- Strong ability to navigate web‑related applications and technology.
- Proficiency in using technology platforms for instruction.
- Commitment to YES Prep mission and core values.

- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
- Capable of working urgently in a fast‑paced, results‑oriented environment.
- Can juggle multiple tasks and initiatives simultaneously.
- Dedication to learning, growth, and professional development.
- Bilingual Spanish (nice‑to‑have).
