Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (Advanced degree preferred).
- Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in the assigned teaching field (English 6‑12).
Teaching Tasks
Teaches at an appropriate instructional level, provides content development, builds for transfer.
Promotes student engagement, monitors progress, responds to both adequate and inadequate progress, supports students.
Uses time efficiently, maintains an effective physical setting for instruction, maintains appropriate student behavior in the classroom.
Virtual Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders in the virtual platform, in written and oral form, including electronic media.
- Use a variety of programs and software applications to complete instructional and administrative tasks.
- Participate in professional learning to enhance ability to provide engaging online instruction; participate in required Professional Learning that leads to virtual teaching endorsement.
- Clearly articulate deadlines, schedules, and procedures to students and parents to ensure coursework completion in a timely manner.
General Duties and Responsibilities
Incumbents will receive an annual contract. The work calendar will be 190 days. Salary will be determined based on level of certification and allowable experience.

Physical and Sensory DemandsThis position requires prolonged periods of standing or walking, occasional bending, stooping, stretching, and lifting of equipment. Reading, listening, writing, and speaking are required. There may be occasions that require the lifting or restraint of a student.
