Job SummaryThe College of Engineering Technology and Computing (CETC) at Savannah State University invites applications for part time faculty positions for academic year 2026‑2027 to support instructional needs during the fall and spring semesters, as well as future academic terms. Opportunities may be available for day, evening, and weekend courses. Teaching areas of interest include Freshman Year Experience, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Construction Management, Electrical, Civil, and Mechanical Engineering Technology, Data Analytics, Mathematics, and Physics.
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required eligibility verification form upon hire. This position does not offer sponsorship for employment visas.
- Plan, organize and communicate instruction in ways that encourage and stimulate student learning
- Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies that facilitate and promote student success
- Prepare, distribute and submit syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with college and university policies
- Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress
- Submit immediate alerts in EAB when students are at risk
- Submit mid‑term and final grade reports by the set University deadlines as well as completed course assessment forms at the end of each semester
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in regard to student interaction and information
- Comply with all university academic policies
- To teach Freshman Year
Experience:
A Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline is required. - All Other Subject Areas: A Masters degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline of instruction is required.
Offers of employment are contingent upon completion of a background investigation including a criminal background check demonstrating eligibility for employment with Savannah State University, confirmation of credentials and employment history, and, if applicable, a satisfactory credit check.
