The College of Education at Savannah State University is seeking part‑time faculty applications for the academic year 2026‑2027. Courses may be taught in the following areas:

• Elementary Education
• Middle Grades Social Studies
• Middle Grades Science
• Middle Grades Math
• Middle Grades English Language Arts
• Teaching Exceptional Learners

• Plan, organize and communicate instruction in ways that encourage and stimulate student learning.
• Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies that facilitate and promote student success.
• Prepare, distribute and submit syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with college and university policies.
• Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.
• Submit immediate alerts in EAB when students are at risk.
• Submit mid‑term and final grade reports by the set University deadlines as well as completed course assessment forms at the end of each semester.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in regard to student interaction and information.
• Comply with all university academic policies.

• Master's degree in a related field with 18 credit hours in one of the aforementioned content areas.
• Teaching certification/teaching endorsement in content area.
• Post secondary teaching experience.

• Applicants must attach a list containing the name, email address and telephone number of three (3) professional references (e.g. supervisor, colleague, mentor).
• Applicants must attach transcripts to the application. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable. Official transcript will be required upon hire.
• Applicants must attach a narrative indicating their teaching interest (e.g. courses taught, topics of expertise, etc.). Please attach as "Teaching Philosophy."
• Applicant must attach a copy of their teaching certificate/applicable teaching endorsement. Please attach as "additional document."
