The College of Media, Arts, and Communication (CMAC) at Savannah State University seeks part‑time faculty for the academic year 2026‑2027 to teach courses in Journalism and Mass Communications and Visual & Performing Arts.

All positions are temporary and part‑time. A federal verification of identity and eligibility to work in the United States is required upon hire. This position does not offer sponsorship for employment visas.

• Plan, organize, and communicate instruction to encourage and stimulate student learning.
• Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies to facilitate and promote student success.
• Prepare, distribute, and submit syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with college and university policies.
• Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.
• Submit immediate alerts in EAB when students are at risk.
• Submit mid‑term and final grade reports by set university deadlines, and complete course assessment forms at semester end.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality regarding student interactions and information.
• Comply with all university academic policies.

• Master’s degree in a related field with 18 credit hours in one of the designated subject areas.
• Post‑secondary teaching experience.
