Job SummaryThe College of Media, Arts, and Communication (CMAC) at Savannah State University seeks part‑time faculty for the academic year 2026‑2027 to teach courses in Journalism and Mass Communications and Visual & Performing Arts.
All positions are temporary and part‑time. A federal verification of identity and eligibility to work in the United States is required upon hire. This position does not offer sponsorship for employment visas.
Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and communicate instruction to encourage and stimulate student learning.
- Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies to facilitate and promote student success.
- Prepare, distribute, and submit syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with college and university policies.
- Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.
- Submit immediate alerts in EAB when students are at risk.
- Submit mid‑term and final grade reports by set university deadlines, and complete course assessment forms at semester end.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality regarding student interactions and information.
- Comply with all university academic policies.
- Master’s degree in a related field with 18 credit hours in one of the designated subject areas.
- Post‑secondary teaching experience.
