Church Youth Director

Description

The Youth Director will shepherd and disciple students (grades 6–12) by leading them to know Christ, grow in their faith, and engage in gospel-centered outreach. The role includes weekly teaching, relational discipleship, and equipping students to live as faithful followers of Jesus in their homes, schools, and community. The candidate must pass a background check before being hired for this position.

• Teach and oversee Sunday morning youth Sunday school with engaging, biblically faithful lessons.
• Disciple students through mentoring, prayer, and relationship‑building.
• Equip youth to study Scripture, share their faith, and serve in the church.
• Plan to attend and possibly coordinate 2-3 youth events, retreats, camps, and mission opportunities annually.
• Communicate regularly with parents to support discipleship in the home.
• Work alongside the Senior Pastor and church leadership to align the youth ministry with the overall mission of the church.

• A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
• Agreement with the St. Paul Church of Lincolnton Faith and Practice Statement.
• Passion for student ministry and evangelism.
• Strong teaching and communication skills with the ability to connect with teens.
• Relational, approachable, and committed to shepherding students and families.
• Must be able to pass a background check in order to work with the youth.
