Valid Georgia Professional Teaching Certificate in the assigned teaching field Elementary Education P‑5.

Duties and Responsibilities:- Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders in the virtual platform, including electronic media.
- Uses a variety of programs and software applications to complete instructional and administrative tasks.
- Participates in professional learning to enhance online instruction and obtain virtual teaching endorsement.
- Clearly articulates deadlines, schedules, and procedures to students and parents to ensure timely completion of coursework.

- Interacts in a professional manner with students and parents.
- Is available for conferences according to district policies.
- Facilitates home‑school communication by holding conferences, telephone, and written communications.
- Maintains confidentiality of students and records.
- Works cooperatively with administrators, support personnel, colleagues, and parents.
- Complies with school, district, and state administrative regulations and Board of Education policies:
- Conducts assigned classes at scheduled times.
- Enforces regulations concerning student conduct and discipline.
- Is punctual.
- Provides adequate information, plans, and materials for substitute teacher.
- Maintains accurate, complete and appropriate records and files reports promptly.
- Attends and participates in faculty meetings and other assigned meetings and activities.
- Complies with conditions as stated in the contract of employment.
- Demonstrates professional practices in teaching:
- Models correct use of language, oral and written.
- Demonstrates accurate and up‑to‑date knowledge of content.
- Implements designated curriculum.
- Maintains lesson plans as required by school policy.
- Assigns reasonable tasks and homework to students.
- Acts in a professional manner and assumes responsibility for the total school program, its safety and good order:
- Takes precautions to protect records, equipment, materials and facilities.
- Assumes responsibility for supervising students in out‑of‑class settings.
- Performs other duties as required based on the specific content area taught.
- Plans and coordinates purposeful assignments for paraprofessionals, other supporting staff, and volunteers, providing input to the administrative staff on performance.

Incumbents will receive an annual contract. The work calendar will be 190 days. Salary will be determined based on level of certification and allowable experience.

Physical and Sensory DemandsEmployees in this category spend most of the workday in a classroom or related educational environment. Duties may include prolonged periods of standing or walking, frequent bending, stooping, or stretching, occasional lifting or pulling of equipment, and reading, listening, writing, and speaking. Occasional lifting or restraint of a student may occur.
