Job DescriptionEnglish Upper Grades Teacher responsible for designing, delivering, and assessing instruction for upper grade students in English. Candidates must be fully authorized to work in the United States.
Primary Function- Teachers are members of the instructional team and responsible for duties related to academic programs and operational practices.
- Demonstrate mastery of subject matter, instructional skills, and resources for courses taught.
- Create lesson plans aligned with current state standards, using formative assessment and differentiation.
- Monitor and maintain a positive classroom environment that supports the school‑wide behavior expectations.
- Use available technology to enhance students’ learning experiences.
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings and extra‑curricular/school related activities.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate conscientious and responsible behavior.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned by the CEO.
- Follow professional practices consistent with school policies when working with students, records, parents, and colleagues.
- Facilitate home‑school communication through communication folders, conferences, telephoning, and written communications.
- Demonstrate professional practices in teaching:
- Model correct use of language, oral and written.
- Demonstrate accurate and up‑to‑date knowledge of content.
- Implement designated curriculum and grade‑level standards.
- Maintain lesson plans as required by school policy.
- Assign instructional tasks and homework to students.
- Take precautions to protect records, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Four‑year degree from an accredited college or university with teaching certification.
- Classroom teacher experience, knowledge of best instructional practices, and ability to lead and coach adults.
- Eligible for Leadership Certification.
- Preferred:
Experience working with children in a Georgia school setting as a core content classroom teacher.
- Salary: $44,000 per year plus a $1,500 supplement added to the appropriate teacher salary scale step.
- Work days: 190.
- Eligibility for the Georgia Teachers Retirement System (TRS).

- $20,000 life insurance at no cost.
- Academic calendar with additional school breaks.
- Average student attendance rate of 95.5%.
