Provide appropriate learning experiences and educational opportunities for each student assigned to the class.

- Effectively communicate with stakeholders via the virtual platform in written and oral forms, including electronic media.
- Use a variety of programs and software applications to complete instructional and administrative tasks.
- Participate in professional learning to enhance online instruction and obtain a virtual teaching endorsement.
- Clearly articulate deadlines, schedules, and procedures to students and parents to ensure timely completion of coursework.
- Follow professional practices consistent with school and district policies in working with students, their records, parents, and colleagues.
- Interact professionally with students and parents.
- Be available for conferences according to district policies.
- Facilitate home‑school communication through conferences, telephone, and written communication.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records.
- Work cooperatively with administrators, support personnel, colleagues, and parents.
- Conduct classes at scheduled times.
- Enforce regulations concerning student conduct and discipline.
- Be punctual.
- Provide adequate information, plans, and materials for substitute teachers.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and appropriate records; file reports promptly.
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings and other assigned meetings and activities as per school policy.
- Comply with conditions stated in the contract of employment.
- Model correct use of language, both oral and written.
- Demonstrate accurate and up‑to‑date knowledge of content.
- Implement designated curriculum and maintain lesson plans as required by policy.
- Assign reasonable tasks and homework to students.
- Take precautions to protect records, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Supervise students in out‑of‑class settings as required.
- Plan and coordinate assignments for paraprofessionals, support staff, and volunteers; provide input on performance.
- Perform other duties as required by the district, school, or student needs.
Annual contract for 190 school days. Salary is determined by certification level and acceptable experience.
Physical and Sensory DemandsTypical classroom duties involve standing, walking, occasional bending, and occasional lifting of equipment. Reading, listening, writing, and speaking are required.
Qualifications- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (Preferred: advanced degree). - Experience, Skill, and Certification:
Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in History for grades 6‑12.
