Job SummaryThe Department of Natural Sciences invites qualified candidates to join the part‑time instructor pool in Chemistry. Appointments are made on an as‑needed basis each semester, depending on departmental requirements. This is a pool posting for potential openings in the School of Arts & Sciences.
Responsibilities- Teach lecture and/or laboratory Chemistry courses as assigned.
- Prepare course materials, including lesson plans, quizzes, exams, and lectures.
- Maintain office hours and provide timely feedback to students.
- Submit attendance records, grades, and required academic reports by deadlines.
- Ensure adherence to college policies and academic quality standards.
- M.S. in Chemistry or a related discipline with at least 18 graduate hours in Chemistry.
- Demonstrated successful teaching experience.
- Proven college‑level teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
- Transcripts (official copies required upon hire).
- Professional references.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Employment is contingent upon:
- Background investigation and criminal background check.
- Verification of credentials and prior employment.
- Compliance with federal and state regulations and Board of Regents policies.
