Adjunct Welding Instructor – Part Time

• Teach welding courses as a part-time instructor
• Conduct class lectures
• Plan lessons
• Manage the classroom
• Evaluate students' progress toward goals and objectives
• Maintain program certification requirements, as appropriate
• Prepare and maintain required documentation and administrative reports
• Ensure safety and security requirements in classroom and laboratory areas
• Assist with student recruitment and retention efforts
• Maximize student placements in Welding or a related field
• Perform other duties assigned by the Department Head or Program Dean
• Teach at multiple Savannah Technical College campus locations

• Diploma in Welding from an accredited community college or technical school preferred
• Three (3) years of welding work experience within the past seven (7) years
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Computer skills
• Current American Welding Society Certification strongly preferred
• Teaching experience at a postsecondary institution strongly desired
• Underwater welding experience/certification preferred
• Must be able to work evening hours
• Must be able to work at multiple Savannah Technical College campus locations in Savannah/Chatham, Liberty and Effingham Counties
• Candidates must pass a criminal background check
• Male applicants aged 18-26 must present proof of Selective Service Registration
• May be required to submit a valid driver's license, proof of insurability, and/or driver's history report for positions involving state travel

Demonstrates expertise in Welding instruction, classroom management, and student evaluation while ensuring compliance with safety and certification standards. Strong communication skills and experience in student recruitment and retention are essential.
