Job DescriptionPosition:
Adjunct Early Childhood Care and Education Faculty Savannah Technical College is seeking a qualified adjunct instructor to teach in the Early Childhood Care and Education program. This is a part‑time, non‑benefited, FLSA‑exempt position in the Public Services Division and reports to the Department Head of Early Childhood Care and Education. The position requires the ability to teach online, in Liberty County, and in Savannah, and may require travel between Savannah Technical College campus locations.
The candidate selected for this position may be subject to pre‑employment drug screening, education verification, reference, motor vehicle records, criminal background checks and credit history checks. For high‑risk positions, medical evaluations and/or psychological evaluation may be required.

Typical Responsibilities- Preparing and delivering lecture and/or lab course material in both face‑to‑face and hybrid formats
- Delivering engaging classroom instruction aligned with program standards and student learning outcomes
- Evaluating and recording students' progress in attaining goals and objectives
- Preparing and maintaining all required documentation and departmental reports
- Maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of Early Childhood Care and Education procedures
- Must possess a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education and/or Elementary Education discipline or a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of qualifying fields or a related field
- Three years of work experience in early childhood Education within the past five years
- Ability and willingness to work at multiple campus locations, as assigned
- Excellent human‑relations, interpersonal skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in Early Childhood Education
- Prior teaching experience (preferably in a post‑secondary setting)
- Experience with Blackboard and Banner
- Familiarity with college accreditation standards
Ability and willingness to travel to Hinesville and/or Savannah.
Physical DemandsWork is typically performed in an office environment with intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending, pushing, or pulling in various settings. The employee occasionally lifts or moves objects of a light to medium weight up to 50 pounds. Full range of hand and finger motion may be utilized for data entry purposes. The employee regularly interacts and communicates with students, employees, and the general public.
