License and Certification Qualifications
- Must hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia Educators Certificate in Educational Leadership and/or Support Personnel License issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission. Upon Hire Required
- Relevant certification, professional training, or experience in school operations, organizational management, facilities planning, enrollment management, strategic planning, or related areas. Upon Hire Preferred
- Specialists Degree in related field Required
- Doctoral Degree in related field Preferred
- 5 years leadership and administrative experience Required
- Administrative experience in a school district or educational organization Preferred
- Experience in school operations, organizational management, instructional leadership, resource allocation, enrollment, scheduling, facilities, or related areas Preferred
- Experience monitoring or implementing state and federal requirements in an educational setting Preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead through collaboration, relationships, and shared accountability.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, district wide initiatives involving multiple departments, schools, and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of effective school operations, organizational systems, enrollment practices, scheduling, resource allocation, and school planning.
- Knowledge of strategic scheduling practices and the use of scheduling as a lever to maximize instructional opportunities, student supports, and available resources.
- Knowledge of effective approaches to building, classroom, and campus utilization that support safe, inclusive, welcoming, and effective learning environments.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, regulations, Board policies, and requirements related to school operations and compliance.
- Ability to analyze enrollment, staffing, scheduling, student performance, resource utilization, facility utilization, and other relevant data to identify trends, opportunities, constraints, and areas requiring intervention.
- Ability to identify operational inconsistencies and develop systems, processes, and expectations that promote district wide coherence while allowing appropriate responsiveness to individual school and cluster needs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement efforts, identify root causes of performance problems, and develop sustainable solutions.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and disciplines to develop coordinated solutions to school operational challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and facilitate professional learning, guidance, and support for school and district leaders.
- Proficient in technology applications and systems used to support school operations, planning, communication, compliance, and decision-making.
- Lead the district wide vision and strategy for effective school operations.
- Establish and advance a district wide framework for effective, efficient, consistent, and coherent school operations that supports student achievement and school success.
- Develop clear expectations, systems, and processes that enable schools to effectively manage operational responsibilities while maintaining a focus on teaching, learning, student support, and school improvement.
- Partner with the Chief of Schools, cluster superintendents, and other district leaders to identify operational challenges that affect school effectiveness and develop proactive strategies to address those challenges.
- Promote consistent district wide practices while recognizing the differing needs, circumstances, and priorities of individual schools and clusters.
- Ensure school-facing operational systems are aligned with district priorities, policies, strategic initiatives, and student needs.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of district wide operational systems and recommend improvements.
- Strengthen district wide enrollment practices and planning.
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of district wide enrollment practices to ensure accurate, timely, equitable, and efficient processes that support student access and effective school planning.
- Establish clear expectations, processes, and accountability structures for enrollment practices across schools.
- Analyze enrollment trends, patterns, projections, and student movement to identify implications for school capacity, staffing, programming, scheduling, and resource allocation.
