Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church is seeking someone with a passion for helping children know, love, and follow Jesus while partnering with parents to build lifelong faith. The Children's Ministry Assistant will serve in ministry with us through our vibrant programs for children and our highly regarded preschool, Eli's Place.
Wesley Monumental is a traditional, historic, multi-generational church loved by young families in downtown Savannah. The Children's Ministry serves nearly 300 children from birth through fifth grade, encompassing nursery care, Sunday School, Children's Worship, and a young children's choir. Eli's Place cares for more than 140 children Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. through 1 p.m. throughout the school year. Additionally, our children enjoy various summer camps and special events throughout the year.
The Children's Ministry Assistant reports to the Director of Children's Ministry. Successful candidates will have a combination of relevant education and experience and a desire to serve children and families.
This is a full-time, hourly position with benefits that include healthcare insurance, a defined-contribution retirement plan, life insurance, and PTO. The work week is Sunday through Thursday. Compensation commensurate with education and experience.
