We offer an exciting opportunity as a ROV Pilot Technician I in a fast changing, dynamic industry - and plenty of opportunity to grow, apply your knowledge, skills and experience in DOF’s core activities.
We are looking for another member to join our team. The ROV Pilot Technician is responsible for the proper performance of all tasks in which they are assigned, by the Operational ROV Supervisor during the project, ROV Operations, maintenance, repair, and preparation.
Responsibilities- Familiarize themselves with the ROV system and its operation.
- Operate and maintain the ROV system in accordance with DOF procedures and standards.
- Ensure that internal/external Health, Safety, Environment and Quality requirements are adhered to at all times.
- Participate in familiarization and debriefing sessions prior to mobilization/demobilization (if applicable).
- Participate as required in the project responsibilities as specified in the project scope of work.
- Familiarize and adhere to all guidance and instructions outlined in the BMS (Business Management System).
- Ensure that ROV logs, reports and the quality of service are consistent with DOF standards
- Ensure that ROV system documentation is updated and maintained
- Perform tasks as directed and in accordance with the established procedures and routines defined in the DOF Subsea quality system and relevant project procedures, with special attention to the ROV operation instruction and its underlying documents.
- Understand and operate within the established company HSEQ policies and operating standards.
- Adhere to mechanical/electrical principles and industry standards and observe safe working practices.
- Be responsible for the health and safety of all staff under their control.
- Report all accidents, incidents and near misses.
- Complete additional HSEQ training as required (e.g., leadership communication, hazard recognition, incident investigation & reporting, behavioral based safety, management of change, stop work authority, job safety analysis, lock out / tag out).
- Work Experience:
Achieve 180 days offshore experience at (Pilot Tech grade II); have a minimum of 36 experiences in ROV Operations - Valid and current offshore medical certificate acceptable in the region of employment.
- Valid and current offshore survival certificate acceptable in the region of employment.
- Valid and current driver’s license and passport.
- Degree level or equivalent Subsea operations knowledge
- Qualified and experienced in ROV Operations
- Excellent organizational skills
- Qualified in Electrical and/or Mechanical or relevant discipline
- Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint and Document Control Systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Working knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry Technical Specifications and Standards

- Works in the office environment approximately 5% of the time; offshore/offsite locations 95% of the time with possible moderate exposure to noise and machinery
- Travel is required.
- Be able to push, pull and lift up to 50lbs.
