Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full‑time, non‑tenure track faculty position as Lecturer of Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering in the Department of Mechanical Engineering with a preferred start date of August 2026. This is a nine‑month contracted position and is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching undergraduate courses in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Service to Department/College/University/professional community is expected.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A PhD degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline at the time of hire.
  • Expertise to teach courses in Aerospace Engineering such as Spacecraft Design, Spacecraft Dynamics and Controls, Spacecraft propulsion, Orbital Mechanics and their laboratories.
  • Teaching familiarity with face‑to‑face, online or hybrid modalities.
  • Record of past teaching Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering courses at the undergraduate level.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the Aerospace Engineering industry.
