The OpportunityTRC Talent is seeking a strategic Parts Development Powertrain Specialist for a global automotive manufacturer in Ellabell, GA. Located in Bryan County near Savannah, this facility is a premier Electric Vehicle (EV) mass-production plant. In this direct hire role, you will lead the sourcing and development of powertrain components, managing the supply base from concept to mass production to ensure world-class quality and cost-efficiency.

As a Powertrain Specialist, you will manage the full lifecycle of part development, ensuring that our supply chain supports a flawless vehicle launch.
Strategic Sourcing: Identify potential suppliers and manage the RFI, RFP, and RFQ process. You will lead bidder conferences and negotiate long-term agreements to maintain best-in-class pricing.
Supplier Development: Guide suppliers through the established parts development process, ensuring all commodities meet required specifications and timing.
Quality & Performance: Achieve target quality levels at every milestone. You will lead cost-reduction activities and develop countermeasures for any issues impacting quality or delivery.
Launch Excellence: Drive flawless launches by collaborating with cross-functional teams and adhering to ISIR (PPAP) standards.
Relationship Management: Hold effective meetings with partners for fast issue closure and relationship development, while continuously negotiating piece prices and tooling costs.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of related experience. Significant experience in the automotive industry (Purchasing, APQP, PPAP, or Supplier Engineering) is strongly preferred.
Technical Expertise: Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as die casting, stamping, injection molding, and assembly. Experience with Engines and Transmissions is highly preferred.
Analytical Skills: Proficiency in breaking down piece prices and using "should-cost" models to assess competitiveness.
Communication: Strong command of English. Bilingual skills (English, Korean, and/or Spanish) are a preferred asset.

Competitive Salary: $70,000 – $90,000 per year.
