Job Description

AECOM is currently seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Transportation team in the Savannah, GA area. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support a variety of civil engineering projects associated with the Georgia Ports Authority.

  • Develops and strengthens analytical and engineering design skills through active participation in project assignments and technical tasks
  • Performs engineering design activities under the guidance and supervision of an experienced engineer, ensuring adherence to applicable standards and project requirements
  • Prepares detailed designs, calculations, technical reports, sketches, diagrams, schematic layouts, and final construction documents in support of project deliverables
  • Assists with the collection, compilation, and analysis of engineering data to support project planning, design development, and technical decision-making.
  • Utilizes industry-standard engineering software and tools to perform calculations, modeling, drafting, and problem-solving for routine engineering challenges
  • Coordinates assigned tasks to ensure work is completed in accordance with established project budgets, schedules, and quality standards under supervision
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
  • U.S. Citizenship is required, due to the nature of the work
  • Valid U.S Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
  • Ability to obtain TWIC - Transportation Workers Identification Card

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience using Micro Station
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience assisting on civil engineering projects
