- Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) to determine product acceptability in accordance with approved procedures and certification level
- Record, evaluate, and document inspection results accurately
- Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety standards and protect self and others during testing
- Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment and manage inventory of tools and materials
- Conduct automated ultrasonic C-scan inspection of composite parts
- Support workflow coordination to meet priorities, efficiency, and cost objectives
- Provide technical support and guidance to other technicians as needed
- Perform inspection equipment process control and safety checks, including radiation monitoring activities
- Collaborate within a team environment to ensure quality, safety, and performance standards are met
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must be able to work any shift
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2 years of NDT-related experience required
- Certified in at least one NAS 410 NDT method; ability to certify in a second method within 1 year required
- Must be NAS 410 Level II certifiable in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Eddy Current (ET)
- Preferred certifications:
- Ultrasonic (UT) C-Scan / TTU
- Eddy Current (ET)
- Computed Radiography (RT)
- Experience with Through Transmission and Immersion techniques preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Familiarity with Solumina and CATIA V5/6 preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical data
- Basic shop math and measurement skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to lift and transport up to 40 pounds
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and housekeeping standards
- Must provide formal NDT training records
