Service Engineering Liaison - Savannah CS SVC Tech Spec II

Responsibilities- Work with Savannah Service Center and Backshop Liaison engineering requests and provide direct shop floor assistance.
- Handle RMC tasks and maintain deliverable dates, schedules, and communications.
- Coordinate with other teams to support customer aircraft needs.
- Apply resources through Liaison Site support teams to address customer break/fix issues and minimize overhead costs.
- Select appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues.
- Serve as a recognized authority within the field, consulted by associates and others.
- Anticipate and resolve complex issues creatively, developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.
- Balance technical product, cost, and schedule considerations during problem solving.
- Work independently with minimal direction; maintain long‑range perspective for desired results.
- Make decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative.
- Maintain current knowledge of developments in specialty and related aircraft fields to recommend innovations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Fundamental understanding of airframe structural repair sizing, development, and installation.
- Ability to lead and support a multi‑discipline team of engineers, mechanics, Tech Ops, Quality Control, and upper management.
- Strong written and verbal communication and collaborative skills.
- Experience with Catia V5 and/or Smar Team model‑based design.
- Positive attitude with team‑building, mentoring, and coaching skills.
- Experience in the repair of metallic structure.
- Experience with aircraft systems.
- Experience with airworthiness regulations regarding major repairs.
- Experience with static and FDT stress analysis in a post‑production environment or as a production MRB stress engineer.
- Experience with materials, M&P processes, and part fabrication.
- Gulfstream engineering experience on GIV/GV/G650 /G500 / G600 / G700 / G800.
- Experience with composite repair.
- Advanced degree in engineering or related curriculum preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a related technical curriculum is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. 10 years in a specific technical discipline or 15 years of broad engineering experience across several disciplines with a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Experience credit is considered for related advanced degrees, limited to 2 years for a Master’s and 4 years for a PhD in applicable fields.
