Product Assurance Engineer Specialist

• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Procurement to support development programs and ensure producible, high-quality designs.
• Contribute to design quality assurance activities including design validation, verification, risk management, and flight test support.
• Partner with Design Engineering to resolve quality issues and support transition from development to production.
• Support design and process capability analysis and validate requirements incorporation.
• Assist in supplier selection activities and ensure quality standards are met.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to develop and validate manufacturing processes.
• Apply risk management tools such as FMEA and support APQP activities including control plans.
• Analyze technical data, drawings, and 3D models to identify risks and ensure compliance with standards.
• Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams and external partners as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 years of experience in a specific technical discipline or 8 years of broad engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced degree credit applicable (Master’s up to 2 years, PhD up to 4 years).
• Understanding of design quality principles, including FMEA, SPC, and key characteristics.
• Experience with GD&T and interpreting engineering drawings and CATIA models.
• Knowledge of APQP, control plans, and design/process validation methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to define problems, analyze data, and draw conclusions.
• Proven project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems and engineering tools.

• SAP experience.
• Composites and Quality Systems knowledge.
• Teamcenter experience.

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Advanced degree in engineering or related curriculum preferred. 5 years in a specific technical discipline or 8 years broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines within a manufacturing environment. Credit will be considered for related advanced degrees limited to 2 years for Masters and 4 years for PhD in fields applicable to the position.

• Contributes to incorporating design quality assurance during development programs and participates in new product design and development, design validation/verification, risk management, flight test and design change activities.
• Partners with design engineers and assist in resolving quality issues and executing design, development, and transition to production processes. Duties include contributing to design/process quality capability analysis, collaborating with Procurement for supplier selection and requirements incorporation validation.
