The Worksite Utilities Coordinator will oversee utility coordination efforts for the SR400 Express Lanes Project, a large‑scale infrastructure initiative delivered by the Acciona–Flatiron Dragados Joint Venture. This role involves planning, tracking, and field verification of utility relocations, protections, and installations to ensure timely and compliant execution across the corridor.

Job Responsibilities- Coordinate with utility owners, engineers, construction teams, and subcontractors to plan and execute utility relocations, adjustments, and protections.
- Review and manage utility conflict documentation, permits, agreements, and utility relocation schedules.
- Monitor field progress of utility‑related work, ensuring compliance with GDOT standards, utility owner specifications, and safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed logs of utility conflicts, relocation milestones, and inspection findings.
- Work proactively with the MOT and construction teams to prevent schedule impacts due to utility work.
- Attend utility coordination meetings and represent the project in discussions with stakeholders and third‑party utility companies.
- Support documentation for GDOT reporting and payment processing related to utility activities.
- 3–5 years of experience in utility coordination or field inspection on transportation or civil infrastructure projects.
- At least four years of relevant experience in coordinating complex Utility Adjustments on highway improvement projects of similar complexity, size, scope, and delivery method to the Project.
- Strong understanding of GDOT utility coordination processes and standard construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret utility plans, permits, and relocation designs.
- Must hold a valid and current WUCS (Utility Coordinator Specialist) Certification as required by GDOT.
- Proficient with MS Office, Bluebeam, and field documentation/reporting systems.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license required; must be comfortable traveling between field locations.
- Responsible for conducting Utility Coordination Meetings.
- Ensuring contact with Georgia 811 and that requirements have been met.
- Shall have a complete understanding of the Georgia Utilities Protection Center Operation and shall be knowledgeable of the High‑Voltage Safety Act and trained on the GUFPA (Georgia Utility Facility Protection Act).
