Join the team for a Fall 2026 internship! The Electronic Systems Engineering department is responsible for new product development, certification, and fleet support for Avionics, Information Systems, Electrical Systems, and Aircraft Controls Systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Requirements development resulting in released engineering documentation
- Verification test development and execution in the Integrated Test Facilities
- Troubleshooting aircraft system issues using data analysis tools and skills
- Showing compliance with regulatory certification requirements
- Performing other duties as assigned
- This position is specifically for the fall 2026 semester and will not have openings for the spring or summer semesters.
- Must be available for full‑time, on‑site work in Savannah from August through December 2026.
- Actively enrolled in school during the internship; expected graduation December 2026 or later.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (unrounded); must be listed on resume.
- Must work onsite; this is not a remote position.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Student level:
Junior, Senior, or Graduate.
- Electrical Engineering
- Computer Science Engineering
- ABET accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program
- Passion for aircraft and aviation
- Desire to understand how aircraft are designed, produced, and maintained
- Interest in systems development with high‑level hardware and software integration
- Advanced Design Projects in engineering (aerospace/automotive/robotics/etc)
- Problem solving / data analysis skills
- Coding/scripting (MATLAB, Python, C++)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional groups/systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
- Introduction to Electronics (preferred)
- Digital Logic (preferred)
- Embedded Systems Design (preferred)
- GPA 3.3 or higher
