What You Will Do
- Perform Quality Control inspections on aircraft and components
- Inspect aircraft, engines, and component repairs/alterations for conformity to FAA‑approved data
- Ensure all work meets FAA, CAA, and customer Part 135 requirements
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and inspection activities during maintenance and outfitting
- Maintain accurate, clear, and complete maintenance and inspection records
- Audit maintenance documentation prior to return to service
- Verify airworthiness of aircraft/components before flight release
- Collaborate with RTS to ensure timely and accurate aircraft records
- Mentor technicians on effective documentation practices
- Provide technical guidance supporting FAA/CAA compliance
- Communicate with leadership regarding work scope and delivery schedules
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 8 years of aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical), including 2 years of Gulfstream aircraft experience and 2 years of aircraft inspection experience
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license required
- Strong knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures across aircraft systems
- Proficiency interpreting blueprints, technical data, and QC procedures
- Working knowledge of Quality Assurance/Quality Control systems
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work from heights (ladders, stands, lifts), and work in confined spaces as needed
- Experience supporting large cabin Gulfstream aircraft required
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and multiple foreign certifications
- Flight Safety training on applicable Gulfstream aircraft models is highly desirable
- Multiple shifts available
- Supports large cabin aircraft: G500, G600, G650, G700, and G800
- Full aircraft maintenance service from scheduled to heavy structures
- Ensuring compliance to FAA Standards and 33 foreign certification requirements and customer Part 135 requirements
- Flight Safety Initial training on applicable aircraft models highly sought
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work from heights to include ladders, stands, and lifts, and occasionally work in confined spaces
The role performs inspections and reviews paperwork to ensure workmanship meets acceptable standards of quality, and that aircraft are returned to service in an airworthy condition with all required documentation properly completed and filed. The position is an integral part of the Quality Control/Assurance team, ensuring aircraft/components are in compliance with FAA/CAA requirements.
Responsibilities & Duties- Responsible for Quality Control inspections on aircraft/components
- Completes inspections of aircraft, engine, and component repairs and alterations to ensure conformity to FAA approved/acceptable data
- Coordinates mechanical, electrical and inspection requirements on the aircraft during maintenance or outfitting
- Keeps accurate, neat and legible records of the work performed on aircraft/components
- Coordinates throughout assigned jobs with RTS to ensure accurate aircraft records are produced in a timely manner
- Conducts audits of maintenance documentation on all aircraft prior to approval for return to service
- Ensures aircraft/components are airworthy prior to any flight activities
- Mentors technicians on effective documentation
- Communicates with management as required to identify work assignments and delivery schedules
- Provides technical support to inspection personnel in supporting FAA and/or CAA documented requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned
