Service Engineering Liaison – Savannah CS SVC Tech Spec II in GAC Savannah

Responsible for supporting Savannah Service Center and Backshop Liaison engineering requests, providing direct shop‑floor assistance, managing RMC tasks, maintaining deliverable dates and schedules, and coordinating with other teams to meet customer aircraft needs.

Position Purpose

Guides successful completion of major engineering programs or conceives research supporting the development and production of Gulfstream products and services.

Responsibilities
  • Select appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues.

Required

Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to lead and support a multi‑discipline team of engineers, mechanics, Tech Ops, QC, and upper management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with Catia V5 and/or Smart Team model‑based design.
  • Positive attitude, team building, mentoring, and coaching skills; desire to produce and promote training.
  • Advanced degree in engineering or related curriculum preferred.
  • Additional technical skills appropriate to the grade (e.g., Airframe structural repairs, aircraft systems, airworthiness regulations for major repairs).
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Fundamental understanding of sizing, development, and installation of airframe structural repairs.
  • Experience with aircraft systems, static and FDT stress analysis, and post‑production MRB stress engineering.
  • Experience with materials, M&P processes, and part fabrication; composite repair; repair of metallic structure.
  • Gulfstream engineering experience on GIV/GV/G650, G500, G600, G700, G800.
Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a technical related curriculum; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 10 years in a specific technical discipline or 15 years broad engineering experience. Credit for related advanced degrees limited to 2 years for Master’s and 4 years for PhD.

  • Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • First shift, full‑time. Up to 25% travel.
