Johnson Service Group is looking for an Engineering Contractor 6 (Avionics Systems Engineer) to work in Savannah, GA. Experience with integration of avionics systems is required. Understanding of DO-178 and DO-254 process is required. System integration lab and/or aircraft functional testing experience is required. Able to analyze and develop root cause of system functional issues identified in a test lab environment and flight test is required.
Experience with IBM DOORS or equivalent is desired. Experience with the FAA (Part 25) and EASA certification is desired.
Applies specialized engineering knowledge to broad and complex engineering problems; works on engineering projects containing significant and uniquely challenging problems requiring highly innovative solutions.
Responsibilities- Assignment requires approval of Engineering Promo Review Board including business justification.
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a related curriculum required or equivalent combination of appropriate education/experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Advanced degree in engineering, or related curriculum preferred. 15+ years specific technical discipline with Bachelor’s. Experience credit considered for related advanced degrees limited to 2 years for Master’s, 4 years PhD in fields applicable to job.
