Engineering Technical Design Instructor – Tech Spec I
Location: Savannah, GA, US

Responsibilities- Contribute to planning, development, and coordination of important engineering projects.
- Provide specialized technical assistance to team members.
- Use advanced techniques and modified extensions of theories to provide technical solutions to a wide range of challenging problems.
- Determine and develop own solutions within schedule and cost objectives.
- Work under limited supervision; submit work for review to ensure accuracy and alignment with overall objectives.
- Act as liaison with representatives outside of the assigned group or area.
- Actively improve daily processes and ensure all work meets customer requirements.
- Maintain current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and related aircraft fields to recommend innovations that improve product quality and effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience presenting technical content to an engineering or similar audience in a classroom setting.
- Experience with CATIA V5 or similar simulation software.
- Experience with any of the following systems:
- Mentor Graphics Capital Harness System (CHS)
- Catia Electrical Harness Installation (EHI)
- Smar Team for Design
- Teamcenter
- Other PDM software
- Experience with in an aerospace design environment, either as a design engineer, curriculum developer, or support function.
- Experience developing and maintaining training curricula for CATIA or other design software suites.
- Experience delivering training at remote sites via travel or distance learning, including international locations.
- Experience with CATIA v5 Functional Tolerancing and Annotations (FT&A).
- Experience using the ASME GD&T standard in a design or support role.
- Experience developing and maintaining training curricula for GD&T and/or CATIA v5 or other subjects per GAC requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years of experience in a specific technical discipline or 10 years of broad engineering experience across several technical disciplines with a bachelor’s degree.
- Advanced degree in an engineering-related field preferred.
- Experience credit considered for related advanced degrees limited to 2 years for Master’s and 4 years for Ph.D. in applicable fields.
- Advanced degree in an engineering related field is preferred.
- The level of technical skill and abilities appropriate for this grade will be established by each discipline.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
