Associate Engineer

Job Overview

This role supports product and process development in the dental and medical fields. The Associate will apply engineering skills to design, validate, and improve manufacturing processes and products while ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.

• Provide engineering functions on multidisciplinary teams and present deliverables to team leaders.
• Support manufacturing engineering for production and assembly operations, including KPI development and process reviews.
• Analyze equipment, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results for process validation (IQ, OQ, PQ).
• Create the production "package," including work instructions, travelers, drawings, labeling, and regulatory documentation.
• Assist in the development, introduction, improvement, and sustainment of manufacturing processes.
• Use engineering training for the design, development, testing, documentation, and manufacturing of products according to industry and GMP standards.
• Contribute to Design History File (DHF) creation, design review meetings, and transition to manufacturing.
• Update documentation for existing products and support the design control process (DMR, DHF, Technical Files).
• Develop physical and virtual manufacturing software, including controls, troubleshooting, and integration with ERP, MES, or other systems.
• Support equipment design, tooling, and maintenance, and generate accurate control documents for process equipment.
• Learn and support new product introduction (NPI) and new product development (NPD) processes, including customer feedback (VOC) and product testing.
• Engage in continuous improvement activities focused on product performance and cost reduction.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Physics, Computer Science, or related engineering discipline.
• 2–4 years of related professional experience, preferably in healthcare device manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and 3‑D parametric modeling software.
• Ability to read, interpret, and develop technical drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and related documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to present to cross‑functional teams.
• Basic planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Travel typically less than 10%. Work is performed in an office environment. No special physical demands are required.
