Purpose
This position administers the operations, maintenance, field services, and environmental compliance functions of the Stormwater Management Department. The position leads the City’s proactive and responsive stormwater maintenance work program, including drainage system cleaning, ditch and canal maintenance, catch basin and pipe maintenance, pump station and tide gate reliability, customer concern investigation, field crew deployment, and maintenance-related level-of-service improvements supported by the Stormwater Utility.
Ensures compliance with the City’s NPDES MS4 Permit, evaluates drainage system infrastructure, manages the division’s budget, and supports administrative and emergency response needs.
