- Apply classroom learning to real-world aerospace engineering challenges
- Support new product development and production activities for Environmental Control Systems and related aircraft systems
- Perform detailed system performance analyses
- Support qualification and certification testing of components, assemblies, and full aircraft systems
- Work with suppliers to execute qualification testing
- Review engineering designs and drawings
- Develop compliance documentation demonstrating adherence to FAA regulations
- Gain hands‑on exposure to aircraft systems engineering, system design, configuration management, FAR Part 25 certification requirements, engineering analysis methods, and aircraft systems testing techniques
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher
- Must be enrolled as a full‑time student at the time of application and actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher
- Must be available to work on‑site in Savannah, GA during the Summer 2027 semester, beginning in May 2027
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (unrounded); must be listed on resume
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Typical majors:
Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering - Working knowledge of the principles of fluid/pneumatic systems
- Knowledge or interest in Mechanical Design, CATIA V5, MATLAB, and Technical Writing
- Interest in fluid dynamics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, or direct effects of lightning on aircraft
- Minimum duration: 10–12 weeks (summer)
- Must work onsite; this is not a remote position
- Gulfstream does not provide work visa sponsorship for this position, unless the applicant is a currently sponsored Gulfstream employee
Demonstrates strong knowledge in Aerospace Engineering principles, particularly in Environmental Control Systems and compliance with FAA regulations. Proficient in system performance analysis, engineering design review, and technical documentation.
