Parking Enforcement Attendant
The position directly reports to the Account Manager. Responsibilities include performing a variety of facility, garage, and lot support functions such as customer service, cashiering, flagging, cleaning, lot maintenance, operating and maintaining revenue control equipment, filling out reports, issuing parking citations, and opening and closing booths.
CompensationHourly base pay range: $15 per hour plus ticket bonuses.
ScheduleFriday and Saturday evenings (4 PM – 12 AM or 5 PM – 1 AM). Part‑time: 16–20 hours per week.

Essential Functions- Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, parkers, co‑workers, and clients.
- Patrol and monitor each lot to ensure that only authorized vehicles are parked.
- Issue citations based on preapproved guidelines to any non‑paid or time‑expired parkers.
- Manage lot signage (take down, repair, assemble).
- Maintain lot cleanliness by picking up trash, cleaning signage, and performing other general lot maintenance.
- Troubleshoot parking meters/equipment when applicable.
- Prepare reports and file paperwork regarding violations and citations.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal (shoveling, salting, operation of snow thrower).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
100% of the time is devoted to the functions described.
QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Licensure & Certification:
- At least 18 years of age.
- Pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Work experience:
One to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge &
Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to operate and maintain revenue control equipment.
- Maintenance and upkeep of a facility.
- Ability to log information and perform mathematical computations quickly and accurately.
- Knowledge of personnel policies and procedures.
- Proficiency with calculator and fee computer.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Initiative, sound judgment, and discretion under varying conditions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the public, agencies, and other employees.
- Vehicle operation.
- Ability to stand for the length of the shift.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Work requires frequent sitting or standing for extended periods, walking, running, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception. Lifting up to 50 pounds is required occasionally. Most work is performed outdoors and exposure to extreme heat or cold may occur. Travel up to 5% of time may be required.
