Staff Accountant Senior Financial Reporting

Qualifications
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and Power Query.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate financial trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, recommend, and implement process improvements.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (minimum 4 years related experience). A Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance or CPA may offset 1 year of experience.
  • Proficient in the use of MS applications, principally Excel, with strong technology expertise in other applications a plus.
  • Proficient in applying principles of financial reporting with a focus on analysis of financial reporting data, knowledge of financial reporting systems, and understanding of financial reporting processes.
  • Strong ability to prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for closing.
  • Strong ability to analyze records of financial transactions to determine accuracy and completeness of entries.
  • Comfortable with participating in special project teams and providing analysis and solutions for process improvements.
  • English language proficiency: ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze and maintain a complete and accurate general ledger; prepare managerial and financial reports.
  • Prepare and compile financial data in a timely manner to support established schedules and deadlines.
  • Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules for closing.
  • Reconcile assigned accounts including preparation of appropriate documentation.
  • Participate as required on special project teams.
  • Prepare analysis and recommend solutions for problems and improvements to existing systems and processes.
  • Prepare schedules, reports, presentations, etc. for management.
  • Follow established procedures to perform moderately complex tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Analyze records of financial transactions to determine accuracy and completeness of entries.
  • Coordinate accounting procedures and activity across the enterprise to ensure standardization and consistency.
  • Responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements for specific entities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
