Senior Relationship Manager – Middle Market (Global Commercial Banking) – Bank of America
Responsibilities- Manage an extensive portfolio of complex clients and prospects with annual revenues ranging from $50million to $2billion, helping them save, borrow, and invest for current and future needs.
- Acquire, deepen, and maintain profitable client relationships through sales, prospecting, and enhancement of existing relationships.
- Interpret financial and cash‑flow statements to assess and analyze financial conditions of companies and industry trends.
- Collaborate with domestic and international teammates—including Investment Banking, Foreign Exchange, Wealth Management, and Product Specialists—to design and deliver tailored financial solutions.
- Lead and facilitate dialogue with complex clients on industry issues, alternative capital structures, and general business matters.
- Coach and mentor peers, applying leadership skills to drive performance and client satisfaction.
- Adapt to changes in sales practices and broader market and industry conditions as required.
- 10+ years of experience in Commercial Lending or Investment Banking.
- Successful management of a portfolio of Middle Market clients with revenues above $50million and a proven record of prospecting new business and closing profitable transactions.
- Professional sales skills, including planning, execution, and follow‑up of client meetings.
- Strong corporate finance, capital‑markets, and accounting acumen.
- Financial modeling experience; completion of formal credit training preferred.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience in organizing, facilitating, and negotiating with teams of bank associates.
- Required certifications:
Securities Industry Essentials (SIE);
Series7 & 63 licenses (must be obtained within 180 days of start date).
- Existing knowledge of the market and active participation in local community organizations.
- Established networking contacts and Centers of Influence within the market.
- Client Management, Client Solutions, Advisory, Prospecting, Relationship Building, Risk Management, Financial Analysis, Leadership Development, Project Management, Referral Identification, Sales Performance Management, Business Development, Client Experience, Branding, Continuous Improvement, Data and Trend Analysis, Pipeline Management.
Undergraduate degree required; majors in business, finance, or economics preferred or equivalent experience.
