Refreshed MD is seeking an experienced Dermatology-trained Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our growing, award-winning Portland practice. This role blends medical dermatology and aesthetic care, supporting patients across skin health, diagnosis and treatment of dermatologic conditions, and select cosmetic services.
You will practice with a high level of clinical autonomy while collaborating closely with our Medical Director/Found and broader care team. The ideal candidate values evidence-based medicine, thoughtful patient education, and delivering care that feels both clinically exceptional and deeply human. This is a flexible opportunity with a high growth potential. For the right candidate, the position may be tailored to 2-4 days per week [part or full time], aligned with the mutual goals of both the business and clinician.
Compensation and benefits are prorated on days worked.
- Conduct comprehensive skin exams and diagnose common dermatologic conditions, such as acne, eczema, rosacea, dermatitis, fungal infections, hair and nail disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans within your scope of practice.
- Manage chronic dermatologic conditions and provide continuity of care through follow-ups and care coordination.
- Screen for skin cancers, including melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma.
- Perform dermatologic procedures including shave and punch biopsies, excisions of benign lesions and lipomas, and liquid nitrogen/wart removal.
- Prescribe and manage dermatology-related medications, including topical and oral therapies.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director/Founder on more complex or out-of-scope cases; referring out as needed.
- Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, skincare routines, sun protection, and long-term skin health.
- Guide patients through decision‑making with clarity, warmth, and professionalism.
- Cultivate a calm, respectful, and welcoming patient experience aligned with Refreshed MD’s values.
- Sees education and recommendation as part of great care by confidently connecting patients to aesthetic options when appropriate, while keeping trust and clinical integrity at the center.
- Document all patient care accurately and timely in our EMR system (Boulevard).
- Order and interpret labs and diagnostic tests as clinically appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with Lead Nurse Injector, Advanced Esthetician, Wellness Director to recommend and suggest supportive treatments to meet skin goals.
- Participation in monthly team meetings, as well as help enhance existing standards;
Uphold HIPPA, OSHA, and all state and federal regulatory requirements.
- Licensed PA or Oregon.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on dermatology experience, with the ability to practice independently.
- Experience performing skin exams, biopsies, and managing common dermatologic conditions.
- Strong clinical judgement, organizational skills, and medical notes with attention to detail.
- Preference for working in a fast‑paced, high‑touch clinical environment.
- Excellent communication skills with a patient‑first mindset.
- Commitment to ongoing CME and professional development.
- 3+ years of dermatology experience in an outpatient or private practice setting.
- Experience with cosmetic dermatology services (Botox, fillers, lasers, peels).
- DCNP certification.
