Certified Med-tech Staffing Coordinator – Oak Senior Living

Hourly wage based on experience – experience preferred but we will train the right person with a kind heart and strong desire to work with older adults.
Primary PurposeAssist the Wellness Director with maintaining Resident Medication and Medical Records according to policy and State Regulations; assist the Executive Director with Administrative duties.
Responsibilities Wellness- Assist Wellness Director with checking in new medication cycles every 14 days
- Maintain medication carts (PRNs, creams) every 2 weeks
- Daily check of medication reorder sheet
- Ordering oxygen & supplies
- Weekly MAR audits (missing initials, signatures) and communicate to Wellness Director
- Executing medication changes for residents from doctors’ appointments
- Fax order to pharmacy
- Make copy of order and give to Wellness Director
- Check new order & write change in MAR when delivered
- Send copy of MAR & Medical Appointment form with resident when going to doctor appointment
- Must be in good standing with the CNA/CMA registry
- Assist at front desk greeting guests/residents, vendors & deliveries
- Assist answering phone calls
- Conduct orientation for new hires
- Maintain continuing education unit (CEU) records & schedule CEU classes once monthly
- Track CPR/First Aid certification
- Assist Executive Director with auditing employee files
- Care staff scheduling and any shift changes
- Replenishing copies of forms (shower/laundry/pager logs)
- Take on-call 1 weekend per month
- Assist with tours when needed
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have received high school diploma
- Must have a satisfactory criminal record check
- Must have a physical exam by a licensed physician
- Must have negative drug screen
- Must have CPR & First Aid certification
- Must dress in professional attire
- Must be able to communicate effectively to convey information to residents, families, supervisor, Wellness Director, and Executive Director
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and complete tasks involving walking, standing, reaching, pushing, and grasping
- Must understand risk of exposure to infectious waste, disease, chemicals, solutions, and disinfectants
- Must be able to react in emergency situations
