The Marshes of Skidaway Island is seeking a hospitality‑focused Dining Room Manager to join our Culinary Services team. This exempt leadership role is responsible for the day‑to‑day management of dining room operations, ensuring exceptional service, team engagement, and memorable dining experiences for residents, families, and guests.

Position SummaryThe Dining Room Manager provides hands‑on leadership and oversight of dining room operations and service staff. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming, hospitality‑driven environment that reflects the community’s commitment to excellence while maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, staffing, and resident satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is a servant leader who is passionate about hospitality, team development, and enriching the lives of older adults through outstanding dining experiences.
Hospitality & Resident Experience- Deliver an exceptional hospitality experience for residents, families, and guests everyday.
- Foster a warm, welcoming, and resident‑centered dining environment.
- Build positive relationships with residents and respond promptly and professionally to service concerns and requests.
- Ensure food quality, appearance, presentation, and service standards are consistently achieved.
- Oversee the overall operation, coordination, appearance, and maintenance of the dining room.
- Ensure dining rooms and service areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and organization.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and ensure the dining room is properly stocked and operational at all times.
- Monitor dining room service to ensure standards of speed, accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism are upheld.
- Assist with service during meal periods as needed, including taking orders, delivering meals, and interacting with residents and guests.
- Lead, coach, train, and develop dining room service staff.
- Conduct employee scheduling, performance management, counseling, and ongoing training.
- Train team members on customer service excellence, serving techniques, table settings, and workstation organization.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, engagement, and hospitality.
- Ensure tables are appropriately set and dining areas are presentation‑ready.
- Answer questions regarding menu selections and dining services.
- Support meal service by clearing tables and assisting with dishwashing and other operational duties when needed.
- Collaborate closely with Culinary Services leadership to ensure seamless service delivery.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of five (5) years of restaurant, hospitality, country club, hotel, fine dining, or senior living experience
, including supervisory responsibilities. - Demonstrated experience leading and developing service teams.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform the physical requirements of dining room operations.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Previous experience in a senior living, resort, club, or upscale hospitality environment.
