We are partnering with a leading healthcare organization who are looking to identify a Vice President of Data Governance who will play a critical role in shaping how data is managed, protected, and leveraged across the enterprise. As an executive leader, you will define and operationalize a comprehensive data governance strategy that ensures data quality, integrity, privacy and regulatory compliance while enabling analytics and data-driven decision making.

What you will be doing:
- Create and scale a modern data governance program that supports patient care, compliance, and strategic growth
- Establish standards that ensure trusted, reliable, and secure data across the organization
- Lead enterprise efforts to improve data quality
, including measurement, issue resolution, and continuous improvement - Work closely with clinical, compliance, legal, IT, and business teams to embed governance into everyday workflows
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on how data can be safely and effectively used
- Build and develop a high-performing data governance organization
- Champion a culture that treats data as a shared, strategic asset rather than a technical byproduct
About you:
Must haves:
- Extensive experience leading enterprise data governance or data management programs
, ideally in healthcare - Proven ability to set a clear data governance vision and turn it into practical, organization-wide execution
- Strong knowledge of healthcare data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements and how to operationalize them
- Deep understanding of data quality, data standards, and stewardship across multiple systems and domains
- Track record of partnering with executives and senior leaders to align data practices with business and clinical needs
- Ability to bridge business and technical teams
, translating complex topics into clear, actionable guidance - Experience building, leading, and mentoring teams responsible for data governance and quality
- Demonstrated success leading large, cross-functional initiatives and driving organizational change
- Advanced degree (MBA, MIS, or similar)
- Background in complex or multi-entity healthcare environments
, including post-acute or long-term care - Professional certifications related to data governance, data management, or information governance
- Experience launching data literacy, training, or awareness programs
- Familiarity with formal governance or risk management frameworks
