The Interface Analyst serves as the primary contact for assigned interfaces, report writing, and provides consultation (including coordination) of design/build/testing/go‑live activities. The role requires synthesizing complex technical information and delivering it appropriately to non‑technical service line customers.
The Analyst acts as a Team Leader over Programmer/Analyst staff, making work assignments. Responsibilities include the development, testing, implementation, and operation of applications such as Cloverleaf, Boston Workstation, Visual Basic, and SQL, and writing stored procedures, XLATES, and TCL PROCS. The Analyst plans, develops, and leads interface training, manages the entire interface application development cycle, collaborates with application teams, subject matter experts, and third‑party experts to determine business needs, documents requirements, configures interfaces, diagnoses and resolves interface‑related issues, and coordinates testing, build, cutover planning, and go‑live activities.
The Analyst works with interface engine developers to develop data‑translation routines for Cloverleaf and external systems, drives interface projects with the project manager, provides proactive support by monitoring live interfaces, assists with operating system upgrades and platform administration, analyzes user requirements and workflow to recommend application software, implements and manages change control over in‑house programs, and performs related duties as assigned.
Education- Masters - Preferred
- 5-7 Years Programming and report writing - Required
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail - Required
- Reports and multiple operating systems such as MS-DOS, Windows, VMS, and AIX - Required
- Knowledge of procedures, policies and practices related to operating and using information systems - Required
- Proficiency in multiple development tools such as Visual Basic, Microsoft Access, Crystal, etc.
- Preferred - Experience with SQL, HL7, SNA, TCP/IP, FTP, and more - Preferred
- Broad knowledge of major hospital functions and organizational relationships - Preferred
